frequently asked questions
  • Over the last few years, deductibles for insurance have risen substantially along with co-pays for all medical visits. Despite having a co-pay, you’ll still be responsible for the remainder of your bill from physical therapy in addition to your co-pay if your deductible has not been met.
  • So, if you have a deductible to meet, you’ll pay full price per PT visit until you meet it. Each PT session can range from $200-$300 depending on how your therapist bills for your time in the clinic. The most unfortunate part: you won’t receive those bills until you’ve been going through therapy 2-3x/week for 4-6 weeks. Imagine getting a bill for thousands in the mail unexpectedly.
  • Even if you know the bill is coming, imagine paying a premium for therapy services 2-3x/week and ONLY getting to spend 10-15 minutes with your therapist on average per session.
  • Considering all aspects of the decision you need to make, you hopefully have a clearer picture of what your true cost of physical therapy would be “in-network”, the type of care you would receive, and what is most important to you when making your decision on where to get help.

Ligament sprains, acute and chronic neck/back pain, disc herniations, sciatica, tendonitis, bursitis, headaches, plantar Fasciitis, Carpal Tunnel, Rotator Cuff Injuries, and much much more.

A referral is NOT necessary. As Doctors of Physical Therapy, we are able to see you first through what is called Direct Access. We will evaluate you and treat you immediately. If your presenting complaints and exam does not fit within our scope of practice, we will direct you to the best person to help resolve your complaints/concerns.

Prior to the evaluation, you will receive an email with our New Patient Intake Form. You can fill that out and you are all set. If there are any other pertinent documents that you’d like to share, such as imaging or other testing results, you are welcome to bring them with you on the day of the evaluation.

Athletic or loose fitting clothing is necessary for the area we are treating to ensure that we can fully examine you. (For example, jeans are not advised for low back or lower extremity conditions as they will restrict your flexibility and our ability to fully assess. Also, leggings are acceptable for most of our treatments, but if the knee/hip is an area that we are evaluating, shorts are our best option for day one)

  • During the evaluation, we will take time to uncover all of your medical history and history of your current injury/ailment. Gaining all background information thoroughly will help us to help you better with a full understanding of any/all factors that may play a role in determining the root cause and to help develop the best plan for you.
  • In addition, we’ll complete a physical evaluation to assess the injured area and look at any/all functional movements to gain a full understanding of your physical capabilities/limitations.
  • Lastly, we’ll begin treatment to get you on your way to recovery
  • The initial Evaluation is $200.
  • Follow up sessions and care moving forward is client dependent as we tailor each plan specifically to each person’s situation/needs. Following the evaluation, we will be able to offer you the exact cost moving forward to achieve your goals.
  • Initial Evaluations are 75-90 minutes
  • Follow Up Sessions are 60 minutes

The amount of sessions required is a difficult question to answer. Some people feel great after the evaluations, others only require a few, and some require a longer plan of care. Understand that we will provide you with an honest and clear plan upon completion of the evaluation.

We do NOT accept insurance. Accepting insurance means that we would not be able to provide the quality of care that we strive for and that you as the client deserve.

You are able to submit your receipts to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. However, we do not offer superbills for each session. We will create a receipt for you with the proper diagnosis code if that information is acceptable for your insurance. Every insurance has different requirements and red tape, thus it is impossible for us to meet the specific needs of any/all plans that exist.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another client. As such, we require 24-hour notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24-hour notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the visit cost.
